about

«Rapprochements»

The Nineteenth opus, exquisite.

Written to the period from january to july 2018.

The text known as «The Note about „Count Nulin” stops at mysterious phrase: «There can be strange coincidences.» The meaning can be more clear if we take into account that in this case we see the quote from one of the letters of Laurence Sterne (quote of the French translation, which was used by Pushkin: «Les petits evenemens, Sancho, coincident aussi singulierement que les grands»): «Small events, Sancho, approach as strange as the great». It is a reply to the letter of the blackman Ignacio Sancho. Interesting that this thought of strange coincidence not only in the world of historical events, but in the circumstances of the private life in this letter - almost simultaneously with Pushkin - attracted the attention of Byron, who wrote down November, 5th 1821, «„There is a strange coincidence sometimes in the little things of this world, Sancho,“ says Stern in a letter (if I mistake not), and so I have often found it.»

The opus is opened by a five-part suite with the same name and an adjoint passage, which however, turned to be just a prelude, just an overture, just an introduction to the main part, presented by the following one after another pictures, presented by the following one after another passages, action which in its turn finds an approximate or, more precisely, tentative expression in the communique resonating around the axle of rotation. As for the axle of rotation, we will definitely come back to this, if we have time.
